The importance of Environmental Education takes humanity into advancements of awareness in saving biodiversity for its existence in this planet. The Department of Education orders public and private schools to strengthen Environmental Education in preserving and protecting the nature. Through mandated programs, projects and activities, the bureau eventually realizes its goal to improve the quality of life by nurturing the minds of the learners by taking actions to the pressing problem encountered by individuals.
But how really important is Environmental Education? Its integration to core subjects’ targets to stimulate the imagination of the learners to the wonders of nature. It leads to unlock resourcefulness in finding better solutions to counter the damage created by humanities in its civilization. Outcomes of wrath of nature can still be changed by our daily activities and preparedness through mitigations. It encourages the learners to do research for investigation to figure out the full image as to the status of the present health of our nature. This response will yield positive upshots to the communities as they share their knowledge with corresponding engagements without harming the environment. It reinforces the people to have a better relationship to nature as he understands the need for survival of every creature.
Teachers are one of the main instruments to do the task in training the new generation to be the catalyst of change as to nurturing the nature. They take the lead to empower the learners to make a difference in the society. Their voices of declaration are the hope of the world in transforming the ruthless doings of greedy people to power trading nature for money. Humans are created to take good care of the environment for its own welfare to sustain life. Thus, its responsibility to be guardians of nature should start with Environmental Education.
