Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is now imperative in all areas, be it in office or in school. There were studies conducted that shows that it is a potent agent in increasing student academic performance. Effective use of ICT across the curriculum results in significantly increased levels of pupil engagement which in turn raises levels of attainment.

It is now becoming one of the basic building blocks of modern society, thus, investing in ICT will have a worthy effect not only on teaching and learning but to the countries industrial aspect as a whole.

The Department of Education, clearly understand this importance and been working on making all schools to have an access to ICT through DepEd Computerization Program (DCP).

In Masbate City Division, programs and projects of the department in line with ICT are supported and implemented.  Among of the programs and projects are the DepEd Computerication Program (DCP), DepEd Internet Connectivity Project (DICP), Learner Information System (LIS), Enhanced Basic Education Information System (EBEIS), Learning Resources Management and Development System (LRMDS), Enterprise Human Resource Information System, DepEd Email, DepEd WASH in Schools Online Monitoring System (WINS) and other Information System developed by the department.

The Division also initiated programs and projects in line with ICT, among of the projects are the Division Website, the Division Social media group and page, the Division Infoboard and the Collection of DepEd Online-Offline Learning Resources.

Collection of Division memorandum, photos, resource materials, news, updates, articles and many other things that can be viewed online.

Division Facebook Group and Page

A social media group exclusively for Division Personnel, where posting of incoming and previous events, winnings, announcement, etc. are shared and talk about.

Division Infocast

A web- based solution powered by SMART Communication that allows the division to connect with its personnel through a complete, featured platform. It offers an easy and convenient way of corresponding with others by sending broadcast, getting secure information, and making content available for download, making these all possible with an easy interface and an available helpdesk feature.

A collection and offline version of learning resources provided by the DepEd and from the internet which made available for schools with no internet connection.
