Brigada Eskwela, also known as “National Schools Maintenance Week,” is a nationwide volunteer effort by teachers, parents, students, private institutions/individuals, government agencies, local government units, and other organizations to support the Department of Education’s campaign to ensure that basic education is accessible and of high quality. Every year, every volunteer and stakeholder embarks on a path to share themselves and become more productive individuals and organizations.
The Schools Division Office of Masbate City is committed to providing high-quality education in the face of the pandemic, with the safety and protection of our students as our main priority. Every learner’s ambition to become more productive as they acclimate to this new normal is a wonderful one.
The components of the program are the following:
1. Brigada Eskwela (Partnership Support for Access), and
2. Brigada Pagbasa (Partnership Support for Quality Education)
Brigada Pagbasa is a Brigada Eskwela initiative that aims to bring together DepEd partners, experts, changemakers, policymakers, parents, community professionals, and other stakeholders from international and local agencies, as well as public and private sector organizations, to form collaborations to help all learners read and become functionally literate. Thus, a healthy relationship between the teachers and stakeholders is important as this will enable everybody to harmoniously work together that will have a positive impact on the learners.
You can also be part of our growing partners by donating essential things to our dearest learners such as school bags, school supplies, shoes, sanitation kits, dental kits, medicine kits, hygiene kits, android phones/tablets or transistor radios for distance learning, online learning and radio-based instructions. Your participation will be very meaningful to us for this manifests your unceasing support to our schools as well as ensuring that health and safety of our learners and school personnel are well taken care while education continues.
