Roses are red, violets are blue but yellow is not yellow and blue is not blue. Some things appear as genuine as what they are but they are not as real as what we see they are. Sometimes we are color blind but the truth is, blue is really yellow.

In the contemporary times, their population has grown bigger making them accepted and tolerated in most of the countries such as Canada, France, Australia and United States. Even in some heavily religious countries like Spain, Italy, Argentina and the Philippines, they have recognized and welcomed them as part of the society.

They have mixed themselves to the sea of blue. But eventually, they started to separate themselves and created a name reflecting their nature. Magenta, Babaylan, Progay-Philippines and Lagablab are some of their organizations that paved their way to be visible and recognized in the world.

From a closet queen to a real queen- they are in to pageants, creating their own names and earning people’s respect.  From hiding in “blue-ness” reveals their “yellow-ness”, conquering even the mainstream media. Several programs have been allotted by media giving insights that feature and tackle their presence in society, even some would dwell into their necessity.

A professor in psychology said that the proportion of male to female is 1:2. They are growing bigger and bigger, larger and larger, covering a wider population. Is it not bothering that they are now colonizing the “blue” populace?

For some, it is indeed disturbing especially to girls. The saying, “there are so many fishes in the sea” is, I guess, not anymore applicable since some fishes might not be real fishes. It is amazing how the blue fish turned yellow. The funny thing is that sometimes we classify them based on their “pitik”. We associate blue to yellow and yellow to blue.

Green is the result when yellow and blue are combined. And green is the color where we relate their blood. “Ay green ang dugo nito”, words that often come to my mind whenever the gay radar is buzzing.

Homosexuality has been an issue since then until now. As they become uncontrolled in our society, we also become vigilant in identifying the color they radiate. But not all blue is yellow, there are still those who are crystal clear blue. It just so happens that most blues are fading not to light blue but to yellow ones. We just need to sort them out to find their true colors.

From turning blue to yellow, it does not make them less as humans. Nothing is wrong in being a member of the third sex as long as they carry with them the principle of RESPECT. Everybody wants to be respected, therefore we start cultivating it within ourselves. Respect is not based in the colors we possess may it be pink, blue or yellow. It is unisex and genderless.
